The Gnats - October 2021

The gnats flitter and flutter
zigzag around each other
trying to be who they are

Their gentle form as fragile as a breeze
can confuse and confound the mightiest of beasts
The finches nest and chirp and chip from bushes nearby
The chorus of endless synchronicity.

The swarm bobs and weaves
up and down to and fro,
until it dissipates with elegance and grace
