Women’s Resource Center of Central Florida - June 2017 – September 2019                                      

Lead Counselor

  • Provided ~ 850 hours of therapy for adults, families, and teens who were below the poverty line or struggling with homelessness.

  • Treatment Modalities: Relational Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Positive Psychology or Strengths Based Therapy, Music and Art Modalities

  • Designed and then completed bio-psychosocial assessments, treatment plans, safety plans, referrals to other agencies or services, care coordination, and Crisis Intervention

  • Designed curriculum and led weekly support group for adults.

  • Provided case load oversight and administrative tasks for Interns from local and online BSW, MSW, and MFT programs.

  • Provided guidance to E.D. and Board of Directors on achieving evidence-based program evaluation. Designed and implemented Likert Scales for pre and post services evaluation.

  • Participated in Grant Writing on a $250k program to interlink agencies of complementary services to improve integration of local care.

Iris Domestic Violence Center, Baton Rouge LA - Jan 2015 – Dec 2015           

  • Served survivors of domestic violence who were applying for orders of protection or in emergency shelter. 

  • Provided case management for residential adult female clients and their children.

  • Created new systems to improve efficiency in Assisting Attorneys as a court advocate.

  • Coached mindfulness and self-care during safety planning and counseling for adult survivors.

  • Facilitated support groups for adult survivors in the shelter.
